Michel Trompert fabricates windows from sweet chestnut in his own factory

1976

At the age of 20, Michel Trompert worked for the first time on the new sustainability.

In the mountains of Savoie, a young man was taught farmer's wisdom about balance in nature by a local forester.

Chestnut wood was used because this type of wood ages slower than the tree grows. Natural balance.

The seed for Van Ruysdael was planted, with balance proving to be the common thread for the development of us, our innovations, and our philosophy.
