The application of the VR Strips sash window technique to new or existing sash windows can, in most cases, be completed within a few hours and without special tools.
Milling in the window, screwing onto the frame
The minimal preparatory work required for installing VR Strips is on the sash window, not on the frame. This makes it easy, quick, and safe to apply the VR Strips.
Simple grooves need to be made on the sides and top of the sash window. The VR Strips can then be pressed into the grooves of the window. Using the provided screws, the part can be screwed onto the frame without any additional preparation.
Step-by-step plan with support and flexibility
The installation of VR Strips is explained in the manual in 5 simple steps. This manual is included with the set. Since a restoration project requires flexibility, the system itself is designed to accommodate deviations in measurements. Various options are also available for the connections at the top and bottom.

The new VR Strips are supplied as a universal set that can easily be trimmed to the required length for the height and width of the sash window.
