Indoor Climate

Indoor climate

An indoor climate is characterised by its perception and degree of protection. It includes the sounds you hear, the light you see, the temperature you feel and the air you breathe. A setting where, with Van Ruysdael, you feel satisfaction with every detail and get more energy. Take the step with confidence and find the nuances throughout our Essential, Premium and Professional collection.

Quality of light

Light is vital because it is energy and gives energy. It determines energy efficiency. It determines the perception of space and how you and others perform within it. With Max-One technology, you control the quality of light and therefore energy consumption. 99% of harmful (UV) light stays outside and full visible light comes in. Inside, the Max-One uses the warm, pleasant and most efficient (IR) light and keeps 99% of it inside even at the speed of light (approx. 300,000,000m1/sec). With less added energy, ideal thermal comfort is quickly achieved. This puts Van Ruysdael light years ahead of the convection principles of insulation.

Quality of air

Because our Max-One technology makes full use of the infrared heat of your heater, less air needs to be heated. The window glass stays cool, while the thermal comfort experience is achieved faster with less energy. Together, this ensures ideal air quality. This way of heating and saving energy prevents unhealthy bacteria and mould in your home. It therefore makes the production, transport, purchase, installation, maintenance and regular replacement of complex ventilation techniques with HRS systems unnecessary. Van Ruysdael glass is therefore more than just the value given to an insulation number.

Acoustics

Acoustics

Van Ruysdael glass blocks more outside noise compared to ordinary single or double glazing. This gives peace in the home. Its absorbing capacity has a positive influence on acoustics (reverberation), which means it will, for example, give music a warmer experience.

Thermal comfort

At Van Ruysdael, thermal comfort is the overall experience of the ideal temperature.

Max-One ensures that this overall experience is optimally achieved with minimal energy input. Both general and local thermal comfort. Van Ruysdael glass insulates your building in balance with the whole. In doing so, the glass keeps 99% of the infrared (radiant) heat inside. Together, this ensures that humidity is balanced naturally (without the intervention of complex ventilation technology and HRS systems). The radiation of infrared heat is not hindered by air currents such as draughts. That heat - like that of the sun - is absorbed directly through the skin at the speed of light.  Exactly where it is needed. Draughts are then less to no hindrance and the thermostat can usually be set lower in the cold months. Van Ruysdael glass is therefore the most effective and natural way to save energy. So you create a pleasant, vital indoor climate and reduce the impact of daily life on the environment.

Safety

Safety

Unexpected things happen to all of us from time to time. A child kicking a ball into the windows or testing out their toys on the glass. Van Ruysdael makes living even safer. All our 6.5mm glass has a security class P2a as standard. The glass does not break easily. A safe idea.

To protect museum art or people, Van Ruysdael Professional goes further in protection; from P2a to P8b and from BR1 to SG2. Put your mind at ease and choose what suits you best.

Equilibrium

Equilibrium

The main feature of Van Ruysdael glass is that it radiates heat perceptibly back into the building. Where we live, however, we also create moisture (including breathing, cooking, showering, washing, drying). That moisture is there, as vapour and is invisible in the house.

When this moisture stays in the building -by insulating the house, for example- this vapour negatively affects the wind chill, requires more energy to heat and gives unhealthy bacteria and mould a chance to develop.

If you make sure you visualise this invisible moisture in a safe way, you can control it. You then only need to open a window or a door on those few occasions when there is too much moisture. Easy, natural and it saves you a lot of money and energy for buying and maintaining unnaturally expensive ventilation techniques in your home.

In this way, Van Ruysdael glass realises a unique interplay between a healthy and pleasant indoor climate with an optimal temperature experience.
